Twitter > Law License

My dad is in a dispute with a rental car company that is trying to rip him off.

If he needed help with this sort of thing in the past he’d ask me to call them and pull lawyer shit on them in order to get them to address the issue to his satisfaction. I can’t tell you how many times in the past 16 years I’ve done that for people.

Today my dad asked me to go on Twitter and start complaining about the company in the hopes that my modest but not totally negligible Twitter clout would get their attention. So I did. And I got the company to respond within a few minutes. I presume the problem will be fixed shortly.

I feel like this whole episode says as much about where we are as a society as it does about where I stand as a professional, well, whatever it is I am.
